Fun, Easy + Christ-Centered Family Advent Calendar

It’s almost December 1st, y’all, and do you know what that means?? Christmas season is upon us! I have been searching for weeks now for an Advent Calendar that paired Scripture with fun family activities, and realized I needed to make my own.

My hope for this Calendar is threefold: to make memories with my family, to teach them the true meaning of Christmas, and to teach them to think about the needs of others.

This calendar is not meant to create more on your holiday to-do-list, but it is meant to encourage us as mamas to slow down with our little ones and soak in the season. It will be easy for our kids to learn that Christmas is about having fun and receiving presents, so all the more reason for us to be intentional about sharing with them the birth of Jesus and the importance of loving others–while creating some special family traditions and holiday memories along the way. 🙂

I always have these hopes for Christmas of making cookies, bringing treats to neighbors, looking at Christmas lights–and it all can feel like just more to schedule and plan. But! What if there was a resource that planned it all out for you? I’m talking a Calendar, activities, ideas for said activities and even the supply list to make it happen?

Well, in my efforts to make an Advent Calendar for my own family, the birth of this little pdf (think: Calendar, activities, ideas for said activities and even the supply list) emerged! Come December 1st, our household will be putting it to good use, and I wanted to share with you too, in the hopes that it blesses you and your little ones this seaon. I paired the activity ideas and calendar with Scripture verses from Sweeter than Sweets which I have linked in the pdf and you can visit here as well.

To put this Advent calendar into action, all you need is some sort of calendar to put the printables into. You can simply google “Advent Calendar” on Target or Amazon and any number of them will show up if you don’t already have one. Then, simply download the pdf below, print and enjoy. 🙂

I hope this December is filled with joy and peace for you, mama, as you and your family experience the joy of Christ this Christmas!
