Some of my favorite Christmas activities with the kids are the ones that require zero prep. Better yet, if it gets us outside the house and moving (boy-mom of 3 over here!) This outdoor Christmas Scavenger hunt does both!
My kids get so excited seeing the Christmas decorations around our neighborhood, and I thought–why not make a game out of it? Using a scavenger hunt, you can search for a reindeer, or snowman, a nativity scene or a snowflake, and watch the delight on your kiddos’ faces as they find the items and get to check them off the list!

In our house, we have kiddos who can read, and littles who can’t yet, which is why I love this scavenger hunt. On it, we’ve included the written items to search for outside, but also individual pictures of each item so that my 3 year old (and yours!) can participate in the search, too!

To do the activity, all you have to do is print the PDF for each child, give them a crayon, and let the fun begin! Tell them you’ll walk the neighborhood searching for the items on the list. You can even celebrate having completed the hunt with a round of hot chocolate back at the house!
The pdf is free below! Just input your email and it will be immediately sent to you. By giving us your email, you are signing up to get the More for Motherhood newsletter that includes encouragement and resources for your motherhood journey.
This scavenger hunt is one activity in the More for Motherhood Family Advent Scripture Cards! If you’re looking for more ways to make memories with your kids and grow their faith this Christmas, the Advent cards are perfect for you! Use the code MFM20 to get 20% off this year’s Advent cards!
