Love is in the air for the new February Activity Calendar

It is almost February, y’all, and I cannot wait to use this Activity Calendar! Daily activities for the boys and I to do in the cold winter months have been so helpful for us—they provide us something to do, the pre-planning is already done, and they give us some time for quality bonding. Win win win.

February is a special month because it has so many themes we can run with! I love it when a fun activity turns into a learning moment for my boys. So this month, we’re focusing on: God’s love, Groundhog Day, Black History Month and the beginning of Lent.

I want my children to know about God’s love for them. I want them to learn about their ethnic identity and celebrate Black history. I want them to know what Lent is and prepare our hearts for the resurrection. And I’d like to do it while building fun family memories! Is that too much to ask?

Well, I didn’t think so! So I made a calendar to live into those themes. I also collaborated with my friend Grace, who is a physical therapist, and my friend Macy who is a speech pathologist to develop some activities to help our children grow in speech and gross motor skills.

I also pulled some activities from Sally Clarkson’s The Lifegiving Home because I love her ideas for creating a culture of belonging and becoming in your home. From helping your littles know they are loved, to reading Scripture about love, to an accessible way to teach the heart of good manners (how to honor and respect anyone you come into contact with), I’m quite excited to put these ideas into action.

In addition to the fun for your little ones, I went ahead and planned this month’s date nights for you–some yummy, some spa-like, some flighty 😉 and some athletic. Get excited–it’s going to be a good month. Just so we can follow along with each other and spur one another on, be on the lookout for some calendar prompts and date night bonuses on our Instagram. And if you’re looking for more than just week-day activities, this Pinterest board has more ideas to choose from.

So, without further ado, I give you the new February Activity Calendar–where Scripture, fun, multi-ethnicity, love and faith traditions collide. Download for free below!
